Congress Site Committee

The SICOT Congress Site Committee (CSC) is responsible for identifying and evaluating host destinations for the Society’s future Orthopaedic World Congresses, ensuring that each event reflects SICOT’s global vision while meeting the highest standards of quality, accessibility, safety, and financial sustainability. The Committee reviews bids submitted by National Representatives and their National Orthopaedic Associations, assessing each proposal against established criteria including venue suitability, organisational capacity, local support, and financial planning before making recommendations to the Executive Committee and International Council.

The Committee plays a vital role in safeguarding the continued success and international reputation of the SICOT Orthopaedic World Congress. By promoting geographical diversity and selecting destinations that foster scientific exchange, collaboration, and inclusivity, the Congress Site Committee helps ensure that each Congress provides an outstanding educational and networking experience for orthopaedic surgeons and allied healthcare professionals from around the world. Through its rigorous evaluation process and long-term planning, the Committee supports SICOT’s mission to advance orthopaedic education, research, and patient care on a global scale.
